Seniors!!!
There will be a $500 scholarship for a Del Norte student who completes the FAFSA before March 1. Come to the FAFSA workshop on Thursday, February 9th in room 159 to enter your FAFSA and the contest for a $500 scholarship.

ACT News!!
Juniors: There will be a FREE practice ACT test on Saturday, February 25. Plan to take this practice test to help improve your test score. Sign up in the counseling office.
The dead line to register for the February 11th ACT is THIS FRIDAY, January 13th.

Parents!!!
Comcast has a deal for households with children who receive free school lunches under the National School Lunch Program. Families may contact Mari Gutierrez at APS Food and Nutrition Services, (505) 345-5661 ext. 37030, and she will mail you a copy of the letter that confirms that you are eligible for free lunch, or you can go pick it up at her office. Families were mailed this letter when it was first determined that they were eligible, but many of them have lost it or thrown it away. Click on the link for more Comcast details!!!

APS Safe Schools!!
A new website designed to provide information and resources for parents, students and the community on dealing with bullying and youth violence prevention in general was unveiled recently by the APS Safe Schools/Healthy Students initiative. The website, which can be accessed at www.abqsafeschools.org, will be updated regularly with information on local, state and national resources that are available to effectively address the problems of bullying, suicide, violence and substance abuse. The site helps address questions like: “What is bullying?”; “How does it impact students?”; and “What can parents do to intervene in a bullying situation?”
